Health education for a society is an important step in improving the health and wellbeing of a community. Communities stand to benefit from the knowledge and ideas shared by individual from different sectors in order to have sustainable and healthier communities. Nyaluk foundation has been at the heart of community sensitization involved in a wide range of community sensitization projects ranging from Medical checkups, health, legal knowledge, Climate change and environment.
On 4th June 2022, Nyaluk foundation held a community sensitization workshop focused on sensitizing the community on Medical health, will writing process and climate change sensitization. The event to place at ACK church-Ndeffo, Njoro sub-county, Nakuru County and had a total of 18 attendees from the area. Those in attendance were male church members from the local church at Ndeffo. The presentations were mainly on prostate health a and occurrence among men, will writing process and a sensitization session on the relationship between climate change and health
There was an interactive session after the presentation and participants had a chance to ask question on various topics that had been addressed during the session. Attendees had a chance to attend a free medical checkup that had been set by the medical team at Nyaluk foundation. The event was a success and only builds to more work that we have been undertaking as a team. There more invites to partner in various events that had been planned within the community in the future.
